THE BORDER

This is a digital simulation for my Diplom Project.
It is a 3D Scan from the exhibition room(Lichtkeller), filled with 3D modelled roll shutter, on which videos are projected.

The installtion represents the border between inside and outside, private and public, familiar and foreign, as well as light and shadow. 
It is a lot about my personal experience as leaving my homeland and being an outsider. 
On the background and on the roll shutter itself is a timelapse video running. Sun is rising down, and also rising up. 
Through the philosophy of reverse, we can try
understanding the cycle of nature. 

This project is going to be exhibited as a light 
installation in HBK Lichtkeller, in July 2023.
